I know A lot of bacteria have very similar symptoms as well which also makes it hard to pinpoint the species of bacteria. Aneramonas hydrophilia which causes Red Leg has many similar symptons, but the red ness on those of mine that died was from the phosphorous build up in the blood. Once they passed the redness vanished. It also seemed to affect the adults differently. Babies had dematosepsis that was highly visible, not so much on the adults.
