I am so happy to announce the arrival of Ocean (the larger spotted and more aqua toned one) and Blue. Name by our three daughters with lots of enthusiasm. We are so excited to finally begin caring for them and look forward to many years in this hobby and new experiences. We also received and installed two broms today. The viv is coming along very well and the plants are thriving!!! I am no green thumb, so seeing the plants remain in their beautiful colors makes me feel very good! Lol. The froglets have only been here one day and they are already becoming bold. They spent their first few hours in quarantine under the leaf litter.
Hi Shardae,
Congratulations...... Hope all is going well.
Enjoy your newly found 'talent' for growing and maintain your plants !
Beautiful frogs !--- look to be Dendrobates azureus , ( as best I can see from the photo). It's a wonderful choice.
I'm sure you know it's one of the larger species. They are stunning as adults as well ! Yes, leaf litter is very important as it's their favorite 'terrain' in the wild is on the ground foraging around the leaf litter.
Enjoy , post some current photos. We would love to see them

Well done on the new arrivals! I have always liked working with D.t.azureus specimens as I think they have a great boldness about them once established!
