Thank you Terry, would you pls clarify - males dont have these glands, but females do? Did i get you right? Going to look at my big one.

I checked my source: Amphibians of East Africa by Channing and Howell. "The male does not possess pectoral glands." It also mentioned that there is not much difference between males and females as far as physical characteristics.

So call and size difference i guess the only way to tell.
