    Default glade tree frogs




    recently purchased glade tree frogs, how can you tell a male from a female, if I have one of each and they mate, what do I do for the tadpoles, just asking incase It happens want to know what to prepare for first time frog owner.

    Hey, not sure if you've seen my reply, but would you please post pics of your frogs for ID clarification.

    There isn't much difference between the male and female. Like most frogs, the female is larger. In this particular species, the male lacks pectoral (chest) glands.

    I checked my source: Amphibians of East Africa by Channing and Howell. "The male does not possess pectoral glands." It also mentioned that there is not much difference between males and females as far as physical characteristics.

    So call and size difference i guess the only way to tell.
