I live with family members and they own a Pacman frog. The frog was deemed to be big enough to eat mice by the shop where he was bought and he got his first baby mouse today. The family said they were told months ago that they would only have to feed it one mouse and that's it. No crickets, nothing else. I googled it because I was curious and I'm not finding that info anywhere; by contrast I seem to be reading that mice are a treat and they should still be eating other stuff. I brought up what I read but they (the adults) don't believe me and say that their son has done his extensive research... Now I can't stop worrying. I know if I encourage their son to do more research, they will be upset that I went behind their back. Will the frog survive the month or if they continue to feed it this way? Am I overworrying or do I have it wrong?
I replied to your other post on this same topic. No the frog most likely will not survive. I do not keep packman frogs, but know they should be offered crickets or earth worms daily. Pinkies are high in fat and should be limited to just being an occasional treat.

Any tips on how to kindly broach this subject (again) without sounding accusatory or "ohmygosh, you're going to kill your pet" ? They really just brushed me off, but now I can't stop thinking about it and they have zero interest in researching it themselves. I thought about calling the pet store, but I can't find the number for it and don't know where it is.
I would print off a care sheet for their type of frog and take it to them. Highlight the key areas of the spreadsheet and sell it to them like you are just wanting to arm them with the knowledge to keep their pet healthy for a long time. You can't MAKE them care for their pet properly. Unfortunately some people insist on learning things the hard way.

Hello and welcome to FF ! You are living with family and they already brushed you off... right? Unless you can find other living arrangements, myself would drop subject really fast. The frog situation is an unhappy one; but getting your living arrangement at risk is not going to help you or frog one bit .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
