Went last week to the show after seeing invite from Josh Frogs on forum: http://www.frogforum.net/off-topic/3...y-19-20-a.html. I'm new to shows, this one being my second, so bear with me and the low quality phone pics. This adventure included driving 3 hours each way in my trusty (and thirsty) FJ Cruiser and a one night stay at the Extended Stay America.

First tip when attending these shows is to buy tickets online. That way you can get in earlier and save a couple bucks. Finding Josh was easy, he had a big set-up with hundreds of frogs and lot's of supplies. Well, should rephrase that and state I found Josh's tables manned by Zach and Mike. Zach is actually the person you write to when posting on Josh's forum threads or their FB page. Great guy to talk to with lot's of frog's knowledge. They brought many darts including some probable pairs, Starry Reed Frogs, and Bumblebee Toads. All their frogs looked nice and healthy ; which sadly can't be said about all animals in the show .

View of whole Josh Frog's set-up.

Hundreds of frogs for sale, can almost see a peeking Starry Reed on the lower left container .

No cramping here, the bigger darts had larger containers.

One of my favorites at table (no did not get them this time), lovely D. tinctorious "Patricias" !

One of the available probable pairs, E. anthonyi. To the right you can see some fine spotted D. leucomelas; they were gorgeous and Josh sold out of them.

Did not took photo's around show; but these little toads were on sale at another table and grabbed my attention. They were wild caught Anaxyrus debilis, the Western Green Toad.

Will go now and make/eat lunch, more information and pics later !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Thanks for nice comments Paul! I just cooked and ate something I should not; but heck it tasted good . Will eat oatmeal for dinner to counteract cholesterol damage.

After show closed; we headed out for food and good conversation. We were joined by Jane & Tom Brown from Under The Canopy Farms. Most of conversation was shop talk about shows. Learned a lot about frog show business and future plans at Josh frogs.

Imagine all are thinking... what did he got? Well I wanted to get like a couple dozen frogs from there ; reality and bad luck went against that thanks to God. Found a gorgeous healthy looking baby Ornate called a Dragon Wing by seller. One of those dark ones with red/dark chocolate hues. But since had just starting looking, kept going on and when I returned for it... found it sold .

Anyways, after paying for my five Josh's Orange P. terribilis juveniles (pics below) and a bunch of supplies, was pretty much broke . Most supplies were for setting up a few homes for darts and to care for possible Imi's froglets (have fertile eggs on glass).

They do not have the adult colors yet, but can see some orange coming out already. Also got me something else; but will keep it secret for a while .

Well, that's about it for now. Hope you enjoy thread and please do join us at shows, it's lots of fun !

Carlos, I truly look forward to that day!! If I can convince enough people to stay in Philly overnight after a hamburg show next year, I'll host the first annual frog forum/hamburg barbecue!

You're KILLIN' me. This is the first time I've missed this show. Probably a good thing, I've been throwing around the idea of the bumble bee toads, they have such personality. *sigh* Maybe next time.

Need to start a thread on these guys; but since have no new pics will just update them here. The 5 Orange P. terribilis are doing all fine in their QT enclosure. My froglets are very inquisitive and spend hours checking me and laptop monitor out from their position at night table.

There is an Alpha that initially thought male; but is filling out nicely, so maybe female. She is joined every morning by a more slender frog and they hold the "front plains" in QT enclosure. Sometimes another frog joins them and a 4th one stays on back; but closer to my location and in the open. The 5th one is always hiding in the far back corner and looks healthy, I make sure to drop some flies in that corner.

Have thought of some names and so far got "Crush," "Saffron," "Citrus," "Pumpkin," and "Scent." Been bed ridden couple weeks now, so their new enclosure remains boxed in living room. Hopefully can start working on it next week and update some pics too .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

That's cool, I crashed in an SH3 after a total loss of hydraulics . My job mainly consisted of making problems go away in the areas of EOD, Underwater Mine Countermeasures; and Anti-terrorism .
