Hey guys, just wanted to make this post to see if anyone's pacman has the same tendency. My guy Clyde will not use his water bowl no matter the circumstance. I keep his tank at a solid 70-80% humidity so I guess he doesn't need the extra humidity but don't these guys need to drink water ever? Sometimes I put him in his water bowl just to see what he will do and he jumps right out every time. He seems to despise it. Just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about? All of the other pacmans i've owned have loved their water bowls so I just think it's odd behaviour. I feed him a steady diet of nightcrawlers because it seems to be the only thing he likes eating. He won't even acknowledge crickets in his enclosure but he'll jump at nightcrawlers. Are they giving him enough hydration? I dunno guys, any thoughts?
Maybe the substrate is waterlogged? Try squeezing a bit and if water starts dripping out, wring the substrate out until its damp but not wet. Your water bowl should be easily acessed as well, many frogs will not recognize their bowl as a source of water because the sides of the bowl are too high. Some pacmans only soak at night sometimes.

The substrate is fine, I make sure it's not waterlogged. His water bowl can't be any higher than an inch and I have put him in it multiple times so he must know that it is water. Plus he's like 3 inches long so he's not a baby that can't easily access a water bowl. He never soaks by himself because his water is always clean unless I put him in it.
I would not worry about it; frog will soak if needed. Do keep changing the water in dish with dechlorinated tap daily.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
They don't drink. Only a couple species of frog actually drink. Instead the absorb the moisture through their skin paticularly the skin around the lower abdomen and thighs. If humidity is correct and sunstrate is moist then the frog doesn't feel the need to use it. Like Carlos said, if he feels he needs a soak he will get in.
