I can't tell if my baby Gray is just fat or bloated?
It doesn't have any symptoms of lethargy and is pooping just fine.
Although, this morning he passed on his feeding, but pooped as soon as he got into the food tank.
I do leave straggler fruit flies in his main tank in case he gets hungry later, and I'm guessing he's been eating those too since he recently pooped.
He's active as usual, nothing else seems different.
Thoughts? I hope I'm just being paranoid.
Sorry for the less than awesome pictures, it's hard trying to track him down in a big tank with tons of foliage.
Hi Tracey! That froglet looks fine. If you are overfeeding and leaving FFs in tank; it will feed off them. As a result the feeding response would be less than enthusiastic to more food being offered .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Carlos,
Thanks for your reply. I guess I will have to try and offer a little less flies next time. He usually eats 4-5 Hydei flies in the morning and then about 3 end up in the tank with him. He's a little piggy!
I had the same scare with my PCF! Turns out she ate all 3 of the crickets and her sisters got none. They're usually very good about sharing food, but maybe the crickets were extra tasty! In a few days she was as good as new
