I do and I know where to get more plants if needed . Just a few blocks away there's a lovely greenhouse here.

Setting up a mini green house is on my short list of things I want to do lol. Bill has already asked (well I offered as well) for a clipping from the 2 Begonias I got. Would you like me to get you one as well once they grow in a bit (assuming I don't kill them lol).

I am always looking for more plants lol. I only have 3 more coming for this tank... maybe 4. Forgot ifI canceled one of them or not.

I would like some low grown cover type of plants to put in the tank and let it go nuts, but couldn't find anything, everything I wanted at stoves leaves was sold out :/ With how dark the back ground is in this tank I am looking for color (hence the begonias I picked out). The lower area is also going to be mostly shade due to the large land section in the middle of the tank. If you have any clippings you want to part with I can find a home for them. Either in this tank, Mantella's tank, or the Red. My Vent tank is packed and is in need of Maintenance at the moment so I won't be adding to it.

Wow this is a really cool build. I wanted to convert the 40 gallon custom built tank I have but at 48" long it was a bit more work than I'm capable of lol. I'm starting to wonder if the false bottom I have will be high enough since I'm going to have a water section. Good luck with the frogs

Done, finally lol. All the plants arrived today. They were cleaned and split (because they were freaking huge plants from Steve's Leaves) and then planted.



Here is the final tank layout. Planted and all. Part 5 video should be done in a day or 2 and will be posted as well. Thanks for following along in this process. It is always fun!

Thanks everyone! I guess the test will be if the Cits actually use both levels of the tank and can get from one to the other fairly easily.

Thanks Amy! I wasn't expecting them to be so BIG lol. I am pretty sure I have to many plants in there, but that is what pruning is for

Time will tell how well the plants on the bottom level do.

I don't think you have too many. Like you said though, there is always the option to prune!

Well per usually I got impatient and moved the frogs into the tank. It was not a smooth transfer unfortunately. 2 of them jumped out of the QT tank while I was trying to gather them up and fell to the floor :/ SOOOOO mad at myself. They seem fine, but I am pissed at myself for it happening.

I put 3 of them in on the bottom and then for fun/test I put one of them up top. After a couple hours one of the ones on the bottom climbed up to the top. Now there are 2 on each level.... Least if they are stuck they have company now....

It is still early for the frogs in the tank (24 hours) but one of them has moved from the top to the bottom. The 2nd one up top got halfway down the ghost wood then went back up. Still keeping a close eye on them to make sure they can get around the tank safely. I am sure once they get older it will be easier.

Hmmmmm. I'm not so sure , either, if this is the best arrangement for them. They don't like to climb.
Being up there in the 1st place may have been as a result of a little anxiety of being in the new tank.

Now you are going to have to get another species See, see how this happens !!

Have you considered a thumbnail species. R imitator 'Varadero' would climb like crazy in there!
On 2nd thought ----that may not work out well either !!!! The open "conversion' door could be a problem.
They could jump out as they are escape artists !

D Lecomelas think they are tree frogs. You can keep a group of 4 in there.
They are really funny and very entertaining!
