this is my fire belly set up

in most of the set ups that ive seen that are mostly land the toads will not spent hardly any time at all on land.
my fire belly toads spend most of their time with half their body submerged in the water, i have a small filter in the corner to clean the water, as it gets filthy very quickly. be careful though these toads are very resourceful when it comes to escaping so make sure you have a lid that they cant get out of. i dont really reccomend coco fiber for fire belly toads unless you have something covering it because it gets stuck all over the toads and they fill the water area up with coco fiber and it makes a huge mess
oh also i will add that if you do a set up like mine, dont use fish gravel because they will ingest the rocks and that would be very very bad

    retails around 12 dollars

you can put a water bowl in the soil

i personally dont like that setup because of the mess, and like i said they will spend most of their time IN the bowl and not use the rest of the terrarium, this also means you will have to constantly clean the bowl and put fresh water in it, but it is up to you

I use a pump (~$20 and no cost on filter packets) and do partial water changes weekly, and a full cleaning once a month

i use a turkey baster ($2) to suck up poop and lost food because of the price and the length but they also sell a small version meant for a betta fish that does the same job ($5) at pet stores
