Thanks for all the help everyone! I guess he did turn out to be a Great Plains Toad after all. Also, I named him Buford because I thought he was in the genus Bufo, but I guess I was wrong with that too. It seemed like an appropriate name, ok?! He ate a couple Dubia Cockroaches yesterday, so now he's nice and plump. I rescued four more toads today, and I'm going to release them in my backyard. It'll be cool to have toads in my yard, since I've never seen any here in Lincoln. Hopefully they'll find a place to breed.
