Should be getting started on the 65 hex build for my Gray Tree Frog this weekend, but I still can't track down a water bowl that I think she'd like. I want something with a ramp, a deep area (she soaks rather uncomfortably in her current water bowl every night, so I know she'll use it) and a way to stick a filter on it, all while being completely removable for cleaning on a regular basis since she likes to poop in the water. Will probably try my hand at making something from foam and grout, and then seal it so it's watertight.
Is two-part epoxy completely frog safe? My concern is that the water would leach something harmful out of it. I've used Envirotex Lite for my hermit crabs, and also pieces that have been submerged with my guppies and fiddlers for several years now, but I get nervous using anything around the frog without double checking first.![]()
Yup, 2 part epoxy is safe. I've used it many time and recommend it whenever there is water present and you don't want the dull haze of silicone.
