    Default Vintage Aquarium

Recently, I moved into an apartment. One of my concerns now is getting a tank for my 2 and a half inch American toad. I'm looking for one of those vintage steel framed aquariums. A five gallon. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on one, please respond.

Oooohh. Good luck with that one. Craigslist is the only place I have seen meta frame tanks. Sometimes you can find them in flea markets. And the small ones are very rare. If you do find one, inspect it carefully. Nine times out of ten, the tar that seals the slate bottom is bad and needs to be resealed.

I saw a metaframe for sale at a pet store here recently and thought it looked cool, but the cost was insane!

Don't think Logan means "metaframe" tanks. Probably he is looking for one of these: Victorian Fish Tanks.

Saw a remake of a vintage cast bronze framed tank in verdigris finish. Think it was small, maybe 15-25 gal. and close to $1K if I remember right .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Mentat, sorry if I was misleading, I did mean metaframe, those victorian/civil war era ones are WAY to costly for me! I found a metaframe one on craigslist for 1$, but in the description it was labeled as 130 dollars. I'm gonne try and get it and make a bargain with the guy.
