Default Recommended vining plants/mosses used for different purposes?

This is going to be my first living vivarium. Its a 12x12x18 Zoomed that's going to house a Lined Day Gecko. I'm also making a great stuff background with jungle mix covering it. I've read quite a bit on different plants to use but i'm not quite sure which vining plants i should use specifically for different things.

    1. I want a good amount of ground cover but i'm debating on using sheet moss or some creeping jenny or pilea depressa. I'm just unsure of how these different plants will grow, as i would want them as ground cover instead of growing up to the light.

    2. I want to have some growth up the background. Of course moss would look the most appealing, I don't want to overload myself trying to make a first viv. I was thinking of using creeping fig to grow up the back. Would you suggest this? Or should I try something with smaller leaves?

    3. I am going to have a pot that is kind of hanging over or angled out that is within the background. I would like to have hanging vines coming from this to allow for climbing and cover. I saw a crested gecko vivarium in which creeping jenny was used and it just grew down, but since it was a crestie viv with no lighting, I'm curious if something like that would work in my case with spectrum lighting.

I know this is a very demanding post but any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated! I've always wanted to make a living vivarium so I want it to look nice, im just worried about overloading my enclosure with vines. I just love the look of trailing plants

    Pellionia pulchra:
    Pellionia pulchra
A favorite plant that will that will grow and root along the substrate and easily 'trained'.
It will even grab the glass a little. It has a 'shingle' type growth pattern.
Here it is in 2 of many different locations. It propagates very nicely.
Roots itself along the substrate. It has a sturdy leaf . Does no take over the enclosure.

installed here about one week ago. This was a long piece growing along the substrate that I 'lifted'. It will attach itself to this ghostwood and do well here.

Lights ; make an investment to keep all of the $$ plants healthy. These are super !

Lynn has you started on the right track. Jenny or P. Depressa will work just fine. Moss will work as well and is pretty much a no-brainer to grow if you start with a good moss or moss mix.

Other smaller plants you can add would be ficus pumila var. quercifolia, or oak leaf fig. It looks like miniature ivy. If you are feeling adventurous, rhaphidophora pachyphyllum is a tiny, climbing, shingling plant. It does prefer humidity though.

Then there are your epiphytic ferns, like pyrrosia nummularifolia that will climb.

As far as a trailer for the pot? Bolivian Jew is a smaller plant that trails nice. Sorry, I forget the Latin name on that one. Pilea Glauca is another smaller trailer that would work.

No I think it was a Begonia you sent. I order the Pellionia from NeHerp. Unless I have 2 of them in there lol.

Bill all the plants you sent seem to be doing great, even with the delay in delivery. The Orchid dropped some leaves, but is greening up nicely. The Crypts melted, but I already see 1 or 2 new leafs.
