Great advice by our friend Lija! I've seen some bad endings with feeding mealworms also. The frogs do not actually digest the mealworm segments, so they pass through and cause intestinal constipation and sometimes impaction/obstructions. I avoid them. It's a bit like eating too many popcorn cornels for humans. Earthworms and night crawlers are a wonderful alternative. They're easy to digest and nutritious. Be sure they do not have any additives, dyes, or scents added to them.
Don't forget your calcium with vita D3 - EOD (every other day) dustings and your weekly amphibian multivitamin dusting for proper health. Be sure to dechlorinate his water.
