False Bottom, will this work?

I wasn't able to find any eggcrate at Menards this weekend but I did find this in my garage. It needs cleaned and I need to trim a bit off of it, but the width almost 25" which will fit in my tank perfect. I just need to take a bit off the front to make it fit.

Anywho, will this work?
