Default Bloating. What does it look like?

Hi guys! So I have some questions. I having trouble deciding whether my biggest male red eyed tree frog is bloated, or just really fat. He still eats as much as he can but even if I go a few days without feeding him he still has a huge puffy belly and sides. I've done a few soaks and that hasn't done anything. I haven't been able to find any good pictures of bloated red eyes either. What do you guys know about the topic? Any ways to tell for sure?

Haha oh yeah! That makes sense. I will try to get one later. The soaks have stressed him out and he's in a hard to reach place in the terrarium now.

These pictures I took earlier and he looks not as bad as he has been. But the bluffing sides are what concerning me. They just will be swelled up so you can see the blue and yellow sides when he's sleeping. The bulge out like two balloons .

I was concerned because he went days without eating and still looked fat! Haha he is a glutton. Thanks though. I was just curious and thought better safe than sorry, but then I couldn't find any photos of what a bloated tree frog looked like.

    So beautiful!
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

So do adult red eyes just puff up from time to time like this?

Bloating refers to any abnormal swelling. If frog fills up with air; that is not bloating. If you touch the "bloated area" lightly; it will feel soft.

Now, if there is fluid retention, you would feel the bloating give to light touch as in jelly like or cause little waves. Impaction feels solid and is usually asymmetrical. Hope this helps in future issues .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
