I caught this guy as a tadpole. He transformed with another one of the same species, but she accidentally escaped last night, and this little guy is lonely.
I was planning on breeding as a side thing once they became mature. Since she escaped that plan went down the drain, however I was thinking on buying a domestic bred frog of the same species to fill this small void.
We live in Southwest GA, Lee County to be exact.
Could anyone identify his species and gender? Thanks in advance!

I am not sure about this, but I think it is a bullfrog. And she is cute! If the ear patch gets bigger than the eye as she grows then it is a male, but if it stays the same size as the eye or smaller, it is a girl. She is a sweet little girl! She looks like she is smiling, lol. Good luck with er. How did the other one escape? Was it in the house or out doors when it escaped? If it was in the house, you should set out a water bowl for it just in case it is still alive in your home somewhere. You may be able to find it that way and save it from dying in the house. Good luck with your new baby and Best Wishes; MsBlueRose.![]()
She sadly escaped in the house and got caught under my chair leg. We found her three days ago. I was heartbroken. She escaped when I was feeding since they are still a little unsure about people and I guess she jumped out the very few seconds my eyes weren't on the enclosure.
I was hoping to find the remaining ones gender and species to buy an albino and hopefully breed one day. I'm calling the remaining one a boy for now just to get more attached. He was always slightly smaller than the one who passed so I assumed he was male.

Aww, so sorry the little lost froggy got squished. That's awful... I wish you the best of luck in finding a suitable mate for your other froggy. He is a cutie!![]()
