I recently expanded my frog's tank, and bought a nice piece of grapewood. Unfortunately the price tag was covering the line that said 'not suitable for aquarium use'. It is a large piece and obviously won't be completely submerged, however I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a small area of it being in direct contact with water.
I am wanting to know if I can use it in my frog's tank without it degrading too quickly or being a detriment to his health.
Grapewood will quickly develop a Grey Mold on it that is very dangerous for your frogs. I wold try to return it and look into getting some harder woods. Malaysian Driftwood, Ghost Wood, etc.
