I was thankfully set straight about the temp requirements and have since improved Ebil's living quarters. The temp is raising slowly with a 60 watt ceramic coil so he is still probably kinda chilly.
I have noticed that Ebil has dug himself a little hole and is hanging out half submerged in a little alcove of fake leaves and a rock. He ate a cricket that was offered but seemed uninterested in a second. Is this something to worry about or is it their natural behavior when not hibernating to burrow just a little?
I apologize if these are silly questions. I just adore Ebil and I did not realize frogs were so awesome until I got one!
He is still adjusting to the new environment. This can take a matter of hours to days. Just continue to offer food.
What daytime temperature do you have now a couple in. above the substrate?
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
78 degrees on the cool side of the tank and 85 right under the heat lamp.
