A lot of them don't like nightcrawlers at first. You can try rubbing it on his face till he gets annoyed and bites it. Usually after the first time or two, they realize that the worms are food and will take them no problem (nightcrawlers are probably one of the most nutritious/easy to store feeders).
You can also feed the occasional f/t silverside. Sally's San Fransisco Bay Silversides is a good brand. They have a slightly lower fat content than pinkies, so mine probably gets one twice a month or so. She really seems to like the smell of those.
