Have a spare 55 gal breeder laying around and have wanted dart frogs ever since I can remember but have never tried, but recently I've been looking more into and decided I would like to turn my 55 into a viv. I would like to put a pond stream and waterfall/waterwall in it and obviously lots of plants. But I don't know where there is good instruction blueprint or instructional videos on the best way to do so. And also where is the best place to order all the supplies I'll need so any advice or info would be great. Just joined the forum I'm sure it will be worth it.

If you wanted, you could also split the 55 gallon into two tanks, and therefore have two projects with potentially two different species of darts, with a pair in each side. Or you could just do a really nice 55 gallon which could hold at least five darts. I would recommend just surfing the vivarium thread for ideas, I'm sure you'll find 55 gallon dart tanks. For websites for supplies, you could try joshsfrogs.com and neherpetoculture.com, they're very reputable and popular, and have almost everything you need. I would recommend, however, if you plan on doing a custom great stuff background, going to home depot and getting all the supplies you can, as that will be cheaper. Have fun with your build and keep us updated.![]()
You won't find blueprints or videos on how to build because every build is different. All we can offer is the basics. And the basics of a waterfall would be a water reservoir large enough to hold a submersible pump with the proper head height that will pump the water to where you want it to exit and start flowing. From there, it's all about your creativity to fabricate the water fall. It's all about getting the water where you want it to start flowing.
As far as supplies, that all depends on what you need. There is no "one stop shopping" for everything. You will probably need to source all materials from different vendors. Reptile shops, fish shops, hardware stores, gardening stores, department stores, ect.
