Pacman frogs natural habitat is on the bottom of rainforest where they are burrowed in a ground and almost never see any sunlight, they are adapted to live in these conditions and don't need UVB for their metabolism. In fact it is very dangerous for albino morphs to have UVB present.

Short answer - you dont need UVB, but it is used to treat mbd. You never use UVB for albino.

Supplements - every other feeding ca/vitd3, once a week multivitamins.


As for whom to get, it depends. The best is to get established babies, they dont have any bad habits yet, they adapt easily and you can teach to eat healthy. Adults can be stubborn, but they will last longer then babies if something is off. So i suggest to get a baby ( established, eating well) and place it in perfect environment.

Hello and welcome to FF! I would also get an established 1.5 to 2 in. baby/juvie like Lija stated. Get it tong trained and feed it not dyed night crawlers from Walmart or a local bait shop and it will grow very fast. Cut the worms from pointy end, mouth size for babies, body length for 2-3 in. juvies, and give whole worms to larger frogs.
