    Cuties!

Nose rubs - flamazine would work the best, but neosporin without painkillers is ok. But really, i would wait a bit, it may get better, just watch it, it is better then stress out them even more

I do have some SSD if it comes down to needing it. I bought it from the vet when I rescued Atlas, but never needed it as he didn't have any open wounds, just severe dehydration and undernourished.

No one ate yet last night despite a lot of activity. I still have small roaches in there but they do not move much so I may put some small crickets in tonight instead.

    I agree w Lija,
Treating the nose is tricky, because it's so close to their eyes.
Remember, the skin will look darker as it it heals.
It may take months, and months to completely disappear.
    Their may be a scar?

Enjoy them.... I'm glad you have them in your care, Amy

Thanks Heather, Carlos and Lynn . They are both doing really well. Both are active and eating every night. The nose rubs haven't changed much, so I'm just keeping an eye on them yet. I haven't gotten more pictures because I do not want to bother them.

I'm just glad it turned out as well as it did, I'm very aware now of how easily something could have happened and I would have been opening a box of dead frogs rather than the healthy cuties I have.

Pics this morning of nose rubs. I notice a slight improvement. The neon green they turn during the day is awesome. There is no filter or enhancements done on those pics, that's their actual coloring.

The nose rub doesn't look bad at all. I love the colors of Red. The drastic difference from their daytime color to the nighttime hunting colors are awesome!

They really aren't bad. I'm just going to let them continue to heal on their own unless something changes. I initially thought the nose rub was worse on the little one, but it's not bad at all. When I first took them out of the shipping containers, the bigger one was in night time colors, so I didn't notice the dark nose rub until he went to sleep and changed to a lighter color. That one is a little worse. Sorry the picture isn't clearer on that one, looked clear on my phone until I open it on the computer!

Both of them are eating, pooping and appear to be at a healthy weight right now, so that is a relief. I'm looking forward to getting them out of quarantine and it's only been a week!

    Hi Amy,
They look like they are doing very well and settling into their little honey pot !
Keep an eye on the nose rub(s) ...be sure you watch for any signs of them looking more red.

The skin may turn darker as it heals... dark gray.. You can see this beginning to happen in pic #1 ( around the edges of the rub)
    This is a good sign!

I have a red eye ( rescue ) that had a terrible nose rub.....it took over a year to finally - disappear.
If I look real closely at him , there is a permanent tiny scar.

    Thanks for sharing the up-date.

Well, it's official, I definitely have one male who is definitely not "approximately" 2 months out of the water like I was told. Yesterday morning, when my alarm would go off, I kept hearing this weird noise (I'm a snooze button person so it goes off about 4 times in a morning.) This morning, it happened again and it dawned on me that it was one of my frogs. Sure enough, big guy was awake with a puffed out throat.
