Hello, I've started a Vertical tank it's a 10 gallon got the jungle box conversion kit. Today I made the background 3 pots for plants in it. I have so many projects I can't even think so welcome to ANY ideas have time and money and am excited for this tank. I'm thinking live plants and maybe dart frogs although I haven't done dart frogs ever. If dart frogs don't sound good for this build give me some other ideas for frogs. Thank you for your help can't wait to make this build happen![]()
A ten gallon vertical tank can be quite small, and there's only a handful ir two of animals that can live out their entire life in one. As you mentioned, dart frogs are one, you could go with an anole, maube a grey's tree frog, a baby whites, or a full grown, not completely sure on the care of whites tree frogs.

"Look on the wall behind you. Look at that little girl's face. I know you've seen it. But you know what she's never going to be able to see? She's never going to be able to see the simple wonder of a leaf in her hand. Because there's not going to be any trees. Now you think about that."

A great way to build a vivarium is to choose your frog species and then build a tank around their needs. If you can have a larger tank you'll have more options. If you are close to a Petco store, they will be having their dollar per gallon sale on regular aquariums. This means a ten gallon is $10, up to a 55 gallon for $55. It's a great deal and will give you many options. I think the sale begins on June 29th and lasts for 2 weeks, while supplies last.
Here is a great article to get you pondering your frog options.

I agree. It is best to pic out your frog and then design the tank around their needs. If you end up with a Dart that also enjoy climbing a bit than the design would want to incorporate some vertical features. If it is solely a terrestrial frog than you will want a tank and design with more floor space.
