1) the mold will take up to a month to cycle. Some won't ever go away. Taking the wood out and drying it will not help, it will just come back. It's natural, so no real need to worry about it.
2) you really should have decided what kind of frog to live in there before building, that way you can build to suit the frog's needs. But since you are built, there are a few species you can keep in there. Keep in mind it is a tiny tank, so choices become even more limited. A pair of thumbnail darts should be ok, but I wouldn't put more than 2 in there. They may be small, but they prefer territory. Some are terrestrial, but most tend to climb, so yes, they will climb the glass. As far as tree frogs, a solitary American green tree frog could live it's life in there comfortably, a pair would definitely be pushing it. Most other tree frogs are out due to the size they reach in adulthood. I definitely would not put a red eye in there, WAY too small for anything bigger than a solitary froglet.
Like I said, it's a very small tank, and with plants and decor , the volume shrinks even more, so choices are very limited.
