HI, my friend in PA put a bucket of water near his pond and the next morning he found tree frog eggs in his bucket. I was wondering if i put a bucket of water near my lake in the wood would i get tree frog tadpoles? I live in Long Island and the woods near me has bullfrogs, otters, rarely snakes but once in the while they would, etc. But i'm not sure that they have toads or tree frogs (maybe cause i only go there in the daytime). But yeah i go there everyday to walk my dog. Well i just wanted to know. So that i could have some tree frog tadpoles and release them when reached adult hood. THANKS :")

It really all depends on luck. You could definitely try it and raise the tads to adulthood but the frogs might not feel like laying eggs in your bucket. Now until July is the best time to put a bucket out. There is also always the chance that some other species will lay eggs in your bucket.
The Frog chooses its owner. Treat your life-long friend with respect and care and it will never disappoint!
