So im making a frog tank and i want it as natural as possible, im having it all live planted now i know some people like to bug insects in the tank to "clean up" waste etc but i have no idea what to get it's a 50cm cude exo terra tank if that helps. Also what is the best food for a fire bellied toad?
Thanks.
That 'c' instead of an 's' makes your question look at first a little funny :-) I would stick with crickets and if you can get them red wigglers and Dubai roaches (small ones). The occasional small butter worm or silk worm should be okay.
I give dusted crickets and cut night crawlers and hopefully soon some Dubai. Hard to get were I live.
Turkish runners are good too. I will occasionally offer a cut up nightcrawler.
I'm thinking of trying guppies

The best insects for cleaning up the cage are springtails and woodlice. For food I would stick with gutloaded crickets that are dusted every couple of days. Also, like everyobne else said you can feed them other food items as long as they aren't bigger than the space between the frogs eyes. I hope this helps!
