Hi All,
I'm new to the forum, so hello!
I own a green tree frog, he (I think is a he) is 4 years old turning 5 this year, and he won't stop croaking during the day,
does that mean he needs a friend? I've been scrolling through posts and I think thats what he needs![]()
He croaks when the hair dryers on, late at night and early in the morning. Now that the weathers getting cold he croaks more!
Can anyone help, should I buy a new friend for him?
Thankyou,
Kate![]()
Hello and welcome to FF Kate! Your frog can be calling for a mate or just being a frog and calling to interact with environment. You can get him company; but they must be a similar size to prevent cannibalism and quarantined for at least 30 days to ensure your established frog does not catch anything from them. Also, it's important the enclosure is big enough for all the frogs since they (specially females) can grow quite large. There is more information on them in here: Frog Forum - White's Tree Frog Care - Litoria caerulea. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
