    Default Frogs at high elevations

I just got back from a recent trip to the mountains living in a cabin 8500 feet in the rockies. I saw a pond and looked for frogs in the evening but did not see nor hear any. What frogs live in such a high altitude as that location snows allot, the pond freezes, and such? I also did not see any bunnies, but I am sure they live that high up (anyone know)? I am aware of some frogs that can freeze themselves and come back in the spring, however I am not sure that BullFrog can do this and they are usually the loudest Frog in the evening with the exception of the Green Frog which does not live in Colorado. Boy it was so beautiful seeing all the mountains, the rivers and the escape from the trap of the cell phone which did not work that high up. Although I have camped in the mountains in other states where the only signal I got was in analogue mode so no data.
