I was thinking about getting three types of tree frogs but don't have the room for three tanks. So I was thinking of getting one big tank and using tank dividers, but would I have to buy triple the amount of lights, ?thermometers and what not?
Depending on the frogs, you would need to split the tank AND build so you can maintain different parameters across the 3 separate enclosures. Then there's the issue of cross contamination. Each individual section should be completely sealed and differentiated from each other. If one frog gets an infection, then all the frogs in the tank are at risk. And then there's the ventilation issues, since tree frogs require a lot of ventilation.
In my honest opinion, it's just as easy to put 3 tanks side by side rather than build a say, 55g sectioned off. If you are thinking of sectioning a large Viv, then I would recommend against it.

So it's best for me to just get 3 small-ish tanks instead of using one big one and sectioning it off. Thank you! I'm trying to gather as much information I can before I buy everything.
Hello and welcome to frog forum ! What kinds of tree frogs were you planning to get. Also, something Bill didn't mention was the stress. Especially if the frogs can see each other. If you had say a whites and an american green, the whites would try to eat the American green and get nose rub while the american green would constantly be cowering in fear.

I was thinking about some red eyed tree frogs, glass tree frogs, or clown tree frogs. But I'm leaning more towards whites frogs. I'm not completely sure yet. I'm just trying to figure out the best setup and frogs to get since I want a couple different ones for me and my girlfriend.
Your best bet is to start with one species, and then build from there. Plan ahead, especially with white's. Those little cuties grow into 4" monsters! But they are such a great frog!

Stress is easily remedied by painting the dividers black, hence the reason I hadn't mentioned it. But I agree, stress is an important factor and probably then #1 reason for amphibian/reptile deaths.
