Hi everybody, im Zac and I've been keeping fresh- and saltwater fish of all sorts for around 5 years now, so if you need any help with one of those kinds of deals, I will help any way I can.
But I've been thinking. Aside from the largest (= most expensive) fish, there isn't much petting going on. I have dogs and a horse , so im all for interaction with your menagerie. So I've been thinking about getting a frog or lizard or even a tarantula or something like that.
Im just gonna assume that at least some of you dedicated frog keepers have reptiles or other amphibians too right?
Im looking for an animal that-
-I can handle regularly without too much worry
- isn't a ton of work or super expensive
- can make a living in a glass aquarium, preferably a 30 gallon or smaller
- obviously it's gotta look cool
I sure hope you guys can help me out and shoot me some recommendations. Im open to pretty much anything that ain't venomous. And sorry if this isn't a good place to ask, if it isnt, tell me and I can move it.

please use the other pets section for other questions but since you are introducing yourself its fine. With your criteria you are limited. Leopard geckos or small snakes are good and less complicated. However if you are willing to get a bigger cage (40 gallons) then a bearded dragon would be great. If by any chance you change your mind and decide to go big, a chinese water dragon will eventually be calm with you. However, handling wise, the best is the cuban rock iguana but they are huge! (Some people let them loose in their house like cats) and chinese dragons and iguanas are alot of work. NEVER EVER EVER get a green iggie, they are needy and agressive.
