Welcome to the forum ! Your tad are most likely green frogs. Make sure to provide a large enough space for them to swim and you can feed them boiled romaine lettuce or collect algae mats in the water.

hey thanks! I am actually going to release these little guys in one of my ponds(probably the smaller goldfish pond) the salamanders will get some of them, and I am sure others will be cannibalized by larger frogs but it's nature and a lot better than being sucked up by a pump and spit into the grass to suffocate. I promised my daughter we would see 4 of them into froglet-hood. lol. I guess I better set up a tank for that. I am going to try and rescue more before they syphon that water off. Poor lil froggies. Both of our ponds right now are covered in toad tads but I haven't seen any of these guys in there.

It's a fun experience watching a frog metamorphosis take place, i remember doing this a s a project for grade two science class Make sure to have a tank setup as you would if you are keeping tropical fish, they can take up to a year to grow into a froglet! I never get toads in the area im around, I wish i could catch some

They look more like Wood Frogs, Rana sylvatica. The timing would also seem to support a spring breeder. How long are they?

There's a few tadpole ID resources in this post: http://www.frogforum.net/other-frogs...tml#post221128

I had suspicions that the tads were wood frogs earlier, Your probably right Brian.
