Outgrowing liking animals will never happen. May be you have a future famous biologist (entomologist, etc) at home, at 8y to do a research on anything on her own, wow! You gotta go where she wants you to i bet it is lots of fun hearing her explaining to adults stuff she knows and seeing stares back, cos kids her age shouldn't be knowing things she does. Am i close?
