Hi guys, I'm Paulina-Mercedes(just call me Mercedes <: ) and I'm from Ireland. I've been into wildlife and animals in general since I was a little kid, my grandfather got me into them. He showed me common frogs and since then I've loved them. I used to catch them when I was little but my parents always told me to let it go because they 'didn't want to end up caring for it' (:

I recently found a common frog just down the road, and figured I'd bring him home for a while to have a look at him for personal scientific and artistic studies(don't worry, I'm not cutting him in half or boiling him or injecting perfumes into him. I'm just watching his behavior and anatomy. ) but he eventually got a little too comfortable with the house, and I couldn't let him out like that. His name is Freddie-Gwen Watson(because all my past frogs were called Freddie and because I love Spiderman. haha) and he is the sweetest thing.

Or at least I think it's a he, I was never exactly sure on how to check their gender unless I saw two together.

I'm also an animal lover in general, and currently have two guinea pigs and a dog. In the past we kept gerbils, hamsters, fish, rabbits and a turtle. My brother also has a bearded dragon. And I also help out in a local pet store.

I hope to learn a lot more about frogs from being on this forum, they really are fascinating creatures <:
