Heat and humidity issues

Since getting my new albino pacman frog, I've been having issues keeping the temp and humidity levels at an even keel, I've got a thin piece of plexiglass cut to fit the inside of the mesh lid with a hole big enough for the light fixture and an under the tank heater pad under the tank, the tank is 10 gal and the frog is just about the size of a quarter. and would this have any affect on him eating? Gave him his first honey and lukewarm water bath and he had a small movement. any help would be appreciated

Hello Sherri, I would move your frog into a smaller enclosure to reduce stress levels. He may not be eating because of comfort issues, Try covering 3 sides of the tank Humidity should be 60-80% and temps should be 70-82F. Try misting every morning and every night and make sure the heat pad is on the side of the tank, Good luck!

I have 3 sides covered, the back with a cling on back drop, and fake plants on either side blocking his view. Those are the levels I have now, I do spray 2x a day like you just stated, I do have a small plastic tote, but my issue is keeping those settings while he's in there, any suggestions?

do you have a temp and/or humidity gauge? if not, you would be saving yourself a lot of stress. Usually teh plastic wrap over the lid does the trick. GrifTheGreat may have a solution to your problem if things do not get better

Yes I do have one, as of 6am EST temp is 80deg Humidity is 75%, and thanks for the info on plastic wrap, already tried that, didn't quite work as well, but am going to try tin foil. Also thanks for giving me a name to look for when needing help. You have been most helpful

You have got lots of advice already. I'll just add if you have problems keeping temps/humidity steady, just get zoomed hydrotherm, plug in it your fogger/heat and it will keep parameters perfect all day with night temp drop.
That thing is really headache saver

Foil, plastic wrap or plexi do exactly same thing. Plexi and foil are usually easier to attach and they look better.
