Default How do RETF know when to wake up?

Do they have an internal clock that gets them up at night or do they wait till it's pitch black?

From what I've read from other owners here and care sheets, they'll only wake up if it's completely dark.

When they are settling in to new homes which usually takes a few months, they may not wake up until it is quiet and complete darkness, sometimes they won't even wake up at all for several days. Mine however having had them for a very long time, wake up as soon as the lights go off at 9pm and usually it's not that dark and I have room lights on. It's all down to them adjusting to your home.

Mine are similar, they wake every evening between 9 and 10 pm. They are generally quiet and just watching until lights out though.

(They are enjoying the rain storm tonight ).
