I just got a baby pyxie frog. I am using eco earth cocunut fiber as substrate. I have one fake plant that he loves and i am planning on getting a couple live plants. He is an inch long has already gotten fatter. I have a water bowl in there that he really likes. i feed him in a seperate bowl and he eats like crazy. He usually eats 6-8 small crickets and i have started adding a worm on top of that. He seems happy and healthy. I put a wet towel over half the screen top to try to increase humidity. Is it a problem at all that the cocunut fiber sticks to him alot? I spray the tank 2-3 times a day and it makes the eco earth damp and it aticks to him. Plus he is always getting in and out of the water. I think it bothers me alot more then it bothers him though. I coat his crickets and worms every night with calcium powder. The temperature is around 76 during the day and drops to just under 70 degrees at night. Please give me any comments concerns or tips to keep him healthy and happy.

Eco earth sticks to everything so I wouldn't worry about that. Also, frogs do their business in their water bowls most of the time so I would say thats pretty normal. He may just be getting used to his new enclosure as well, they take a little while to actually settle down in the new environment. Also, see if you can get that day temperature up a bit. Try for 80-83 during the day. I would slow down on the calcium dusting as well. Dusting every day is a bit much, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. I would stick to every 2 or 3 feedings for the dusting, especially if you're feeding him daily. It sounds like you're on the right track though, just make sure any water that comes in contact with him is dechlorinated (water bowl, misting bottle, even the water you use for his feeding container) and that you're gut loading the crickets before you feed them to him. I feed mine green horn worms once a week and he seems to really like them but no more than once a week. Good luck!

If manny had any interest in getting an *** beating by mayweather, he would not have refused to take any drug test in the first place. The same drug test most proffesional boxers take. And when Manny is told to take it his response is " It could weaken me". What kind of BS is that?? Is manny hiding something? Or is he refusing a simple drug test because he knows when he passes it ITS ON. PED or scared? Plus what if it did happen? Do u realy beleive he has a chance??

If you can beat the guy then do it. If you are accusing someone of taken a enhancement illegal drugs that just only mean you know the guy is better then you and making excuses. Who request a blood test before the fight. Yes withdrawing blood out of your system can take a toll. Hey I want to fight you but you have to take a drug test, please. Did Iron Mike had to make excuses like that or his opponent?

First of all manny was never nor will ever be "better" then mayweather. And u dont need that much blood to see if u have been using PED or not. If you are a proffesional athelete you should not be dodging a drug test like that unless you are using or your scared. Floyd Mayweather is the highest paid athelete in the world and makes millions upon millions from fighting 2-3 times a year. I dont know about you but i would not risk that in the ring unless i know my opponent is fighting fair. Which means a drug test. Manny isnt just doing it to be stubborn!! Hes either scared of failing the test and getting in trouble or hes scared of passing it and getting demolished!

Ok. Do u use a water bowl or filtered water feature? I currently use a bowl but i want to divide my tank into half water and just use a filter but i dont know how good a filter would clean out big pyxie waste and substrate out of the water. And if a filter doesnt clean out the big stuff it would be much easier to just use a bowl then clean out water from tank everyday.

Well since I have three im trying out different ways. I just ordered a intank filter by tetra I believed for 16 dollars. Its good up to 10 gallon. As the frog gets bigger their waste gets big as well. I should of gotten a bigger and better filter but it will be good for now. I havent set it up yet. I have a empty 55 gallon tank I want to do the same set up you're thinking about. Would like my pixie to have different depth level of water. The bottom line is how spoil or nice of an enclosure do you want for your pixie. I see ppl using just plastic tubs because its cheaper and it can work but not please to the eyes.
I would go for a filter tho. Makes life a lot easier!
