Suggestions on semi aquatic turtles?

I have some turtles of my own. First turtle I had was Shadow, my red eared. Theres a long story that was behind him. But I doubt any of you wanna hear it. Anywho I now have "dash" my female texas map. As her name implies she loves to dash. Shes very friendly and "Dashes" around when she sees her "owner". Which would be mua. XD Anywho anywho....

I want to get a turtle that likes shallow water as low as 5-8inches, and can go in one of those exo terra tanks.
NOT the small exo terras; I speak of the largest "desserts" they have. Like the very long and wide ones. I plan on making some land area with dirt in. But I was hoping to keep a small, active, semi aquatic species. That can go in a tank that size.

I was mainly into full aquatic turtles. But I wanted to start off into something semi-aquatic. SO eventually I will get something terrestial. You know? I want something that I can work with.

Yeah I dont like them that much. You cant see the turtles, and it scares them because they see you as a large predator(bird).
