Well my one Whites Tree Frog wasnt enough (tho my wife would beg to differ) so Ive been doing little trips out in the woods the past couple weeks, (checking on Tadpoles and whatnot) and then decided last night to go out and see what I could find. This was my first night time herping, and it was awesome! I found these 2 guys within 10 minutes. I am currently setting up a new 30 gal upright vive, and also am going to make this enclosure thats pictured, into an upright with front access. So this will be their "quarantine" for now. Im going to do a totally native vive with the 30 gal, all plants and stuff are going to come right out of where I found these guys. and the pics. How old would you guys guess they are? And man are they active!!!

Very nice frog! I have two Grays myself. Absolutely my favorite treefrog.
how much should these guys be eating? I only have my big WTF as experience, as he eats like a horse, so does 2 small crickets every 2 days sound about right with the size they are now?
Feed them as much as they will eat in 15 minutes. Mine will eat a cricket at the beginning of feeding time and refuse any more to eat for about 5 minutes. I feed my young Grays everyday.
I guess when they are young its better to feed them more then they might need, rather then not enough.
Great pics hunny I am soooo jealous that you get to go night-time herping, nice finds
We too are new gtf owners - found in our yard. How do you find is the best way to feed the new ones? Read the care article, haven't gotten the tweezer thing to work yet or the plastic container. We've had one for 2 days, added second tonight. Wanted to catch their food in our yard but easier said than done so guess we'll have to go the buying route.
Well mine are Grey Tree Frogs, and Im feeding them in a separate container each, making sure its not clear plastic(so they feel secure), Im using a old ice cream pail, with a screen top cutout. And I let them be in a quiet place with like 3 small crickets in each pail. I was really glad to see they both eat 2 of the crickets in about the half hour I let them sit in there. So far so good!!
Thanks for the info. And excuse my sleep deprived post - ours are GREY not green. Think one is younger than other 'cause he's smaller w/ a slimmer build when stretched out.
Very cute frogs CrazyAirborne.![]()

Nice frog, I just want to see the real one, cannot find in my country.
Goodluck wit your new frogs.
My brother found one the other day but it pass away before he could bring it over![]()
