Cats are great aren't they! I love my kitties! I want to post an album of my furry friends, too, but I don't know if it will be appropriate since this is a frog forum, lol.

    Default hello i am new

I'm allergic to mammals in general (except chinchillas(and humans)) so i miss out on all the furry and cute critters. But i love frogs more anyway!

I believe you are right about the frog choosing their owners. My two boys are both wild caught and they love me to pieces. They will sit at the front of the tank on their branch and beg to get out by watching me every time I walk by them. And once I open the tank, they will jump right on to me and sit there for hours perfectly contented. I love them SO much! I never thought I would get that much attention from wild caught frogs, but amazingly I did and I am thrilled! I am sorry you are allergic to mammals That really blows... But yes, frogs are wonderful little guys! Here are my babies waiting patiently to be fed and playing in the clover out front. They get all kinds of attention and they love it here with me! I have even had a frog get away from me out side and she came home to us a few weeks later! She jumped up onto my husbands leg when he went out to take out the trash! They are truly amazing!

My daughter is allergic to all the furries (very allergic) and I'm allergic to all the feathered, so our house will forever be filled with reptiles and amphibians. No complaints here. I knew I grew up loving frogs for a reason...

Aww, that's too bad. But Frogs are wonderful pets anyway so that's not a loss in my eyes. I love frogs and snakes both. I just can't have snakes in my home with my little ones and small pets... Thouhg I do think they are beautiful and amazing pets, too! I did used to have an Iguana though!

I love how this thread went from an introduction to a talk about all of our allergies.

We had tons of pets growing up, including an iguana. Never had frogs though. Eventually I want to get a bearded dragon, I just have no space for the kind of enclosure I'm looking to build right now. Not to mention, I need to accept the fact that I'll need to breed crickets to own a bearded dragon. I think my frogs eat a lot...nothing compared to a baby beardie.

Lol, that is funny isn't it. I am glad that I am only allergic to dogs... Even though I have one, lol. But he is kept fairly clean and shed free so it does not bother me too much. Thank goodness none of us are allergic to our froggy friends, huh?! Lol.
