I was told today that in some cases the sex of a RETF could be told by the shape of the nose/mouth area. Any truth to this?
Wanted to add a little something I observed today while watching my red eye eat. When the red eye saw the cricket it shook its butt violently and then jumped at the cricket to catch it. The shaking lasted maybe 2 seconds. I saw a video online about males doing this to when fighting for a female. Is this a sign of sex?
Yes you can tell by the shape of the head. If you are not experienced with this you will need a male and a female for comparison. They have to be almost adults before you can guess at sex.
Well the 2 frogs that I have, have very different head shapes at the nose/mouth area one is a more round triangle, while the other is like a blunt square. Ill post pics on it later.
