I've finally finished my project of using a conversion kit from junglebox.net to convert my 20 gallon tall tank. It's not as natural and "complete" as many other tanks, but that will all come in time.It contains 1.0.0 American Tree Frogs, until I add 2 or 3 more. I hope you enjoy!
Here's my makeshift cricket holder:
And a bromeliad I hope to put up high in the tank:
And finally, my frog!
And to my great delight, today I found that Lowe's was selling tiny little venus fly traps, causing me to instantly grab two and keep in my tank until I find where I wish to plant them.![]()
Enclosure conversion looks very nice, congrats! Recommend reading info on the Venus Fly Traps, believe they require a wintering period yearly.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure to place mine outside during the winter months.
Have read keepers over winter VFTs in the refrigerator. Not sure if they will survive a freeze outside.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
