Hello everyone. I have two Leopard Frog tadpoles and I know one will be finishing it's morph very soon. Her back legs are getting quiet big now. When she decides it is time to leave the water should I put her into the tank I have for them already or should I leave her in the tad pond with land on half of the pond? The tadpoles are very close and I don't want to separate them. The bigger one is definitely going to morph first and the smaller one seems easily stressed, I am afraid if I take the larger one away from the little one he may stop eating and die one me. He is just so easily spooked and will not even eat unless his bigger sibling is next to him. And when he does get spooked, he won't even calm down until he finds his big sister... I am just worried something will happen to him if they must be separated?! And also, once their tail is absorbed, I am not sure what to feed them. I read that baby earth worms are very good for them. I tried to get my grey tree frogs to eat them and they just turn their nose up and hop away, lol. Even if they do strike they will immediately spit it out and turn away from it. Am I going to have similar issues getting the Leopard Frog froglets to eat the baby earth worms, too? I have been collecting baby earth worms and storing them in a plastic dish with potting soil that's a few years old, I have the dish in the back of the refrigerator so the worms do not grow and stay dormant, but do not die. I also have red roaches that I feed my tree frogs. I want to feed the babies to the little guys too if they will eat them. If I do encounter problems getting the froglets to eat, what is the best way to get them to take the food. And if there are any other suggestions on insects that they should have in their diet, I would love to hear them! I have never raised tadpoles before, or new morphs, so this is all new to me. I have been adding vitamins and calcium to the pond water after every cleaning as well, and I know the food must be dusted for almost every feeding once they start taking live food. If there is anything I am over looking or something I should be doing for them, please do tell me. I want them to grow up as happy and healthy as possible. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post and I can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts on this matter.I am going to post new pics of the tadpoles soon and I will add a link to the album on this thread as well. I hope everyone enjoys the pics as much as I do!
Thanks in advance for the advice!
