One of my male giants has really bad scars all over his back. They look like old scars to me but I'm wondering if he will be forever like this or will they go away after months of shedding?

Wow. Wonder how it got all of that. Probably happened in the capture process. My boy had some scars like that but no where near as bad. Sure it will heal up some but may not be all the way.
Poor baby, it will stay this way more or less. Nothing serious.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
It looks like it has started to fade and become more green now, I have been applying a thin layer of neosporin on it daily. I still think he will have visible marks when it's fully healed. It helps me tell them apart lol. He is the most active out of them all too! Maybe tribes people scraped his back alot for his sapo so they can get high!
Aw, baby! My tree frog is a fairly aggressive eater and had a couple slices over her eye about half an inch long, obviously nowhere as bad as this, but I was putting silver sulfadiazene on the wounds nightly for about a week or two and they're nearly gone, now. Of course, these were fresh wounds. Not sure how old these are, but it definitely promoted healing!
