how do WTF know if they can fit in a log or cave?

might seem silly but i am worried my WTF will get stuck in one of his caves. he loves that cave now. never used it b4 but not since January that's the only place he sleeps. he's little right now..under 2 inches. the cave is very small. it was used for a anole lizard. he still can get out but i am tempted to tape the cave shutfor his safetey. at the same time i feel like a mean frog owner for sealing his favorite cave shut. i will also b getting a bigger WTF soon. anyway, can frogs tell if a cave or log is too small for them so i don't need to worry about them getting stuck?

Can you modify the cave so it's bigger? Animals have natural instincts not to get in trouble; but mother nature is always culling out the failures and as pets, we do not want that .

My WTF will sqeeeeeze into small spots and are able to get out. They're pretty squishy and haven't had any problems.

no Mentat i can't and if he got stuck it would be very hard to get him out. when he's in here i can't even put a finer in to scoop him out.
