Minimum Dimensions for Toad Terrarium

I'm having an argument with my friend over the minimum dimensions that will comfortably house a toad. Anyone have suggestions? He says 18x18x18 I say 24x11x12. What do you think?

For an American Toad, myself would provide a 15 gallon tank (24x12 area) as minimal; but I tend to over house all my pets. If your friend likes to overdo that and provides another couple thousand square inches he/she can do that too. You are not miss caring for your toads Logan !
