springtail infestation

so Ive had a plastic shoebox full of oatmeal and mealworms (pinhead size) I placed it too close to my vermicompost and now its infected with springtails, I cant dispose of the substrate because the worms are the same size as the springtails. any tips?

Try placing lumpwood charcoal on top of the media. The springtails will gather on it, then you remove charcoal and tap them lumps off into a dart enclosure or a desired container. Won't eliminate them; but will help reduce their numbers down .

I just found out they aren't springtails and that they are compost mites. anyone know how to get rid of them?
