Hi
Just a quick question; is it possible to keep Hyla cinerea in an outdoors tank? I live in the south east of the UK so the temperatures are mild (summer temperature usually 25 degrees Celsius (77 F) and winters CAN drop to 0 degrees Celsius (32 F) and below although it would be for short periods and the usual is about 5 degrees Celsius (41 F).) It would be a sheltered spot in a garage sort of thing but there would be no electricity, but some sunlight. Would these conditions be alright? I believe that parts of their range have similar conditions..
Thankyou for any help
Possible yes, but I'm not sure why you would want to keep them outside unless you spend lots of time out there. During the winter they would need a place to borrow down into for hibernation. Also you need to make sure they have enough humidity in the area. Mine seem more active when the temps are in the mid to high 80's (F). Triple 8 Reptiles - American Green Tree Frog Care Sheet
