It will be ok. But the bins need to be maintained daily to prevent this.

YUCK ! There is nothing worse than a cricket bin.
After 6 long years of maintain cricket bins, I finally have a routine that works well- for me, anyway.

I feed small crickets to 2 different species of tree frogs. ( moreletii and callidryas)
I buy crickets about every 2 weeks.
When I get the new crickets they are put into clean bins.
So, 4 bins -2 enclosures - all numbered.
2 bins are #1 and 2 bins are #2.
Each species NEVER- shares the others crickets.

Tree frogs are VERY needy

Every morning -( I feed daily ) the uneaten ones are returned to their respective bins to feed.

I use flukers ( calcium gel ) ,homemade dry food, and red leaf lettuce.
Most mornings---- I put a tiny bit of some of my smoothly in the cap to a distilled water bottle.
The following morning the cap is thrown away.

I know, I know .........roaches would be easier........BUT I have never been able to make the switch.
